The Green House

Had such a lovely experience here. The staff was friendly and understanding when I communicated my very strict dietary requirements. They were very helpful and found an item in the menu that I could eat.The ambience was nice and chill. I particularly liked the cool art on the walls and the other decor.I'll definitely come back if I'm in Hastings again

I can't recommend the Greenhouse café/restaurant more highly!The jacket potatoes, with either prawns or chilli con carne, both served with salad, areamong my favourites.All the food is excellent quality and good sized portions — the homemade chilli sauce being just like the best restaurants and I used to make! I eat here almost daily — usually out in the sun people watching in the warmer months, as George Street is well known for, with its myriad of coffee houses, bars and pubs!Also, the coffee is the best in town — I always go for cappuccino!It's a great place to eat and relax with great service from a family run business!I'd recommend it to anyone!

Nice cafe, pleasant experience.We had baked potatoes and omelette. Both were generously served and staff was patient and understanding with our party of 5 including two small kids.

Lovely food, but the spinach made my friends feel slightly green!

Popped in for birthday breakfast, both of us had ladybug breakfast absolutely delicious , staff very friendly and welcoming,lovely and clean venue would definitely recommend this cafe restaurant and visit again …

Great little place with great coffee, and gluten free cake. The waitress was really pleasant and helpful, checking on which cakes were gluten free. Toilets were very clean and modern.

Whenever we come to Hastings, the Green Cafe is always on our itinerary. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the food and drink are amazing.They serve the best coffee I've ever had - I drink it black with no sugar, and it's incredible how much the flavour can vary from place to place. Their well maintained and regularly cleaned Gaggia machine combines well with the expertise of the staff to produce pure black liquid gold (coffee, not oil).The home made scones are to die for - the cheese scone is a meal in itself, and is wonderfully moist, deliciously cheesy and fabulous slathered in butter.The dips selection (pictured) makes a great sharing platter, and is very tasty indeed.Smoothies are packed with fruit and a great option if you want something cold, and there's also a milkshake menu with over 100 flavour choices. One day I want to try the gin milkshake, but my daughter had the brownie milkshake this time, which we all tried and thoroughly enjoyed.Next time you're in Hastings Old Town, make sure you try the Green Cafe, you won't be disappointed. We'll be back again too.
